MEET THE CANDIDATES

PRESIDENT-ELECT

MONICA DOMINGUEZ

SOCCORO ISD

I want to serve on the LSSSCA Governing Board because I am deeply committed to advancing the school counseling profession and supporting counselors across Texas. Throughout my career, I have seen how strong, comprehensive counseling programs transform student outcomes, and I believe LSSSCA plays a vital role in empowering counselors to deliver that level of impact. Having served on the board for ten years, I would continue to contribute my experience, passion, and collaborative leadership to an organization whose mission aligns closely with my own values.

My leadership is grounded in advocacy, equity, and elevating the voices of school counselors. Through my work with LSSSCA committees, I have seen the importance of professional recognition, meaningful training, and statewide support systems. As President -Elect, I would work to strengthen these efforts and help ensure that every counselor feels equipped and valued. I am committed to supporting LSSSCA’s mission and advancing its vision for all Texas students.

DIRECTOR OF SECONDARY

LINDSAY FULLER

ALEDO ISD

I am seeking the position of Director of Secondary because I believe secondary school counselors deserve strong, informed representation that reflects the realities of our work in both middle and high school settings.

In my current role, I lead my high school counseling team while also leading and supporting elementary and middle school counselors across my district as the Aledo ISD District Lead Counselor. This dual perspective has given me a clear understanding of the shared challenges secondary counselors face—large caseloads, evolving state mandates, increasing mental health needs, and growing expectations around College, Career, and Military Readiness—along with the unique differences between elementary, middle and high school counseling work.

I am passionate about creating spaces where secondary counselors feel connected, heard, and professionally supported. If elected, I would prioritize meaningful engagement through virtual learning opportunities, practical resource-sharing, and collaborative discussions focused on real-world application. I am especially committed to supporting counselors through high-quality lesson development, policy-aligned guidance, and professional learning that respects counselors’ time and workload.

Serving on the LSSSCA Board would allow me to advocate for secondary counselors at a broader level while contributing to the organization’s strategic goals. I am eager to collaborate with fellow board members, represent LSSSCA with integrity, and help ensure secondary counselors across Texas feel empowered, prepared, and valued in their work.
