The Lone Star Award is an award that recognizes effective and outstanding school counseling programs in the state of Texas. The Lone Star Award prepares school counselors to apply for the national ASCA RAMP award.
HOW TO APPLY
- The deadline to apply is September 1, 2022.
- Download the forms for the level you are applying for (coming soon).
- Carefully read the Modified Rubric and the Scoring and Feedback forms to gain a clear understanding of how applications will be scored.
- Visit www.texas.schoolcounselorawards.org and login as a new user to obtain a user name and password for the ASCA portal.
- Complete all sections according to the modified rubrics for your level.
- All 10 section items must be in the order of the rubric you are using whether Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Once the completed application pieces are organized in the order of the rubric they must be scanned and uploaded as ONE PDF file to the www.texas.schoolcounselorawards.org link.
